Spain & Morocco

The trip is tentatively slated for late March/early April 2027, and once the itinerary is set the trip cost will be finalized and reservations will be opened.he trip will begin with an optional 5 days in Southern Spain visiting Granada (home of the Alhambra) and Seville, the jewel of the Andalusia region. This component will be priced separately and does not need to be combined with Morocco, nor is it required for those wishing to see Morocco. The Morocco component will be 10 days. From Spain we make our way over to Gibralter by train and then cross the straight by ferry. We will overnight in Tangier before making our way to Fes. In Fes we will visit a few significant cultural sites and tour the medina before heading to Chefchaouen, the blue city
From Fes we do a three day trek through the Sahara by camel and jeep before arriving In Marrakech. In Marrakech, one of my favorite areas for food and shopping, we will take day trips to the High Atas Mountains, visit Berber villages and take a sunrise balloon ride in the Agafay dessert. We will also wander the souks of the medina, take in the street performers and food stalls in Jemaa el-Fnaa square, the heartbeat of Merrakch and enjoy the sights nd sounds of one of my favorite cities.
