THIS WILL BE TWO SEPARATE TRIPS CONDUCTED BACK TO BACK (with a 2-3 day break in between)
Join us in July of 2027 as we first take in the savannahs of Botswana and take in breath taking views of Victoria Falls. After 10 DAYS in Botswana we will head to Madagascar for 10 days to experience the Avenue de baobobs, see lemurs and fossa and take in the beauty of this island nation. Madagascar 10 days $2600 per person (this itinerary is subject to change until reservations open)Day 1 — Arrival in Antananarivo • Arrival at Ivato International Airport. • Meet & greet with the group & driver-guide. • Transfer to hotel in Antananarivo (Tana). • Evening welcome briefing and optional city walk. Overnight: Antananarivo Day 2 — Antananarivo → Miandrivazo (Approx. 6–7 hrs) • Depart Tana after breakfast toward Miandrivazo. • Scenic drive through Tampon Highlands and rolling plains. • Lunch en route (local restaurant). • Free time in Miandrivazo — gateway to Tsiribihina River. Overnight: Miandrivazo Day 3 — Miandrivazo → Morondava (Approx. 5–6 hrs) • Early departure toward the west coast. • Stop at Baobab Alley for photos and sunset views. • Arrive in Morondava, relax by the coast. • Dinner with group. Overnight: Morondava Day 4 — Morondava → Bekopaka (Approx. 8–9 hrs) • Long but spectacular drive to Bekopaka (gateway to Tsingy). • Scenic views, remote villages and river crossings (including ferry). • Arrive late afternoon; refresh at lodge. Overnight: Bekopaka Day 5 — Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park • Full day guided exploration of Grand Tsingy — limestone karst pinnacles, canyons, caves. • Walk suspension bridges & marvel ancient rock formations. • Picnic lunch inside park. Overnight: Bekopaka Day 6 — Bekopaka → Kirindy (Approx. 6–7 hrs) • Depart for Kirindy Reserve — prime dry forest habitat. • Afternoon wildlife walk: endemic fosa, many lemurs, birds & reptiles. • Sunset + optional night walk to spot nocturnal animals. Overnight: Kirindy Day 7 — Kirindy → Morondava (Approx. 2–3 hrs) • Morning wildlife walk in Kirindy. • Transfer back to Morondava. • Free afternoon to relax by the beach or visit local markets. Overnight: Morondava Day 8 — Morondava → Antsirabe (Approx. 8–9 hrs) • Long scenic drive across central plateau toward cooler highlands. • Visit small towns en route, artisan workshops, and countryside views. • Arrive in Antsirabe (spa town known for rickshaws & crafts). Overnight: Antsirabe Day 9 — Antsirabe → Antananarivo (Approx. 3–4 hrs) • Morning walking tour of Antsirabe (local markets, colonial heritage). • Continue drive back to Tana via scenic highlands. • Farewell dinner with the group.
