Our Philosophy

We purposely keep our trips small. Usually we limit trips to five people, but on occasion it will be up to eight. The idea is to fit around one dinner table and in 2 taxis (or one van). No drive-by tourism that shuffles you on and off buses stopping only for photo ops and a passing glance at sites. We stay in local hotels and eat local food. We travel within a culture, not upon it. We create opportunities to interact with artisans, often within their homes and get an insiders view of local culture. But our trips also include free time to craft experinece you want--whether it be time in museums, sitting in cafes people watching, or just wandering about to serendepitously find what makes a place unique.

• We promote a respectful and inclusive environment. Expectations are outlined with each trip and will be adhered to. No exceptions. A warning may be given but participants WILL BE removed after a 2nd offense. • Discriminatory, disruptive, demeaning, or unsafe behavior will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the trip without refund.
Because we focus on fair trade values when dealing with artisans and local merchants, excessive haggling and demands from merchants WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. Mild bargaining is expected in some cases but treating this aspect like a competitive sport is not acceptable and will limit participation in group outings.
